Thompson successful at Indigenous Championships

Steve Thompson has claimed the Australian Indigenous Championship by one stroke from Renton Ritchie in testing conditions at Alice Springs Golf Club, Northern Territory. Battling high temperatures and strong winds for most of the championship, Thompson prevailed at 10-over the card to add the title to his Queensland Indigenous Championship. Kimberly Crawley, a 17 year old from Queensland won the women&aposs event with a four-round score of 346 and James Lally took the boy&aposs crown having only been playing golf for nine months.
