The Australian Capital Territory’s Adam Thorp maintained his lead during the second round of the 2019 Men’s Tasmanian Open at Ulverstone Golf Club today.
The overnight leader and Federal Golf Club member scrambled to shoot a two-over-par 74 in near perfect conditions and tops the leader board on five-under.
The 18-year-old holds a two stroke lead over Western Australian Hayden Hopewell from the Royal Fremantle Golf Club on three-under.
Hopewell carded a two-under-par round of 70 today and is one stroke clear of Launceston’s Mitch Van Noord in third on two-under.
Victoria’s Aiden Didone and Launceston’s Greg Longmore are tied for fourth on even-par.

Western Australia’s Kathryn Norris has moved into the lead at the Women’s Tasmanian Open Golf Championship following the second day’s play at Ulverstone.
The 18-year-old Mandurah Country Club member shot a three-under-par second round of 70 to hold a two stroke lead over the field at four-under.
Isabelle Taylor from the Sanctuary Cove Golf Club in Queensland is placed second on two-under-par following another round of one-under-par 72.
While Coolangatta and Tweed Heads golfer, Rebecca Kay, has moved up the leader board to third after carding a two-under-par round of 71 today.
Overnight leader, Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman from Queensland, slipped to down the leader board today following a three-over-par round of 76.
Campbell-Nyman, Victoria’s Ashleigh Hall and South Australia’s Amelia Whinney are all tied on one-over-par.
Local member, Sarah Johnstone, is the leading Tasmanian recording a one-under-par round of 72 today and sitting in equal tenth place on six-over.

Wagga Wagga’s Peter Zotti has moved into the lead on day two of the Men’s Tasmanian Senior Masters at Ulverstone Golf Club.
The 58-year-old shot a second round four-over-par 76 to slide past fellow New South Welshman, David Gleeson, in second after he returned an 84.
Royal Hobart Golf Club’s, Richard Denholm, is the leading Tasmanian moving into third place with a round of 80.
While Wyong’s David McClelland and Wynyard’s Craig Clark round out the top five competitors.

Prospect Vale Golf Club’s Tammy Hall remains at the top of the leader board following the completion of day two in the Women’s Tasmanian Senior Masters.
Hall carded an 83 and maintains a lead of seven strokes in front of her sister and fellow club member, Deidre Panton, who returned an 86.
Port Sorell Golf Club’s Sharon Crowden is five shots adrift of Panton in third place after recording a 90.
