Tight at the top in Amateur Foursomes

By Alistair Hogg Four pairings are perched atop the leader board at one-under after the opening round of the 2007 Australian Men&aposs Amateur Foursome Championship at Riversdale Golf Club, Melbourne. Five of the eight players in the lead groups represent NSW including the all-NSW pairings of Rudi Bezuidenhout & Rohan Blizard plus John Fitzgerald & Scott Arnold. National Squad members Jamie Arnold and Andrew Dodt are also among the leaders at one-under, as are Michael Foster & Rick Kulacz who also shot an opening round 71. The West Australian duo of Matt Jager and Jason Scrivener are outright second with an even par 72, while there are six pairings breathing down their necks at one-over the card including Ray Beaufils & big-hitting Queenslander, Aaron Pike.
