Tippett claims the 2012 Kingston Heath Senior Amateur

Players found the Kingston Heath layout taxing today as a crisp wind spread across the fairways, making scoring difficult in this year’s annual Senior Amateur. The dense bunkering coupled with tricky greens proved too much to handle for many of the 81 competitors that took to the course today. After finishing runner up at the Royal Melbourne Senior Amateur last week, Barry Tippett (Sands Torquay) continued his solid form, winning today’s Kingston Heath Senior Amateur with 74, four shots clear of the nearest competitor, Tony Briers (Albury Wodonga). Southern member, Julian Land, took out the nett section with a score of 72 nett, finishing just one shot ahead of Garry House (Sanctuary Lakes) and Kevin Yeo on 73 nett.
