Multiple past Championship winner Sylvia Donohoe was taken to the 19th by Nicky Moon from the ACT.
2015 winner Sharon Dawson qualified 11th but was knocked out in first round by Helen Pascoe from Buninyong GC with a 3&2 victory.
Championship quarter final matches begin at 8.00am tomorrow morning.
