Top seeds progress at Thirteenth Beach

ROUND 1 RESULTS After some early cloud, the 2009 Australian Men&aposs Senior Match Play got off to a cracking start on the Ocean course at Thirteenth Beach Golf Links in Victoria There were no major upsets, with the top seeds all progessing to the second round. Number one seed, Stefan Albinski (NSW) was pushed all the way by Paul Bray, winning on the last hole, 1 up. Number two seed, Grahame MacDonald (QLD) had a slightly easier match, winning 6&4. Albinski plays Victorian Allan Bullas in the second round on Tuesday while MacDonald faces former champion Chris Coats in the second round. Defending champion Denis Dale defeated Victoria&aposs Peter Bywaters 2up to progress to the second round.
