Townsend leads in WA

Aaron Townsend has fired a second-round 67 to take the outright lead at the Oceanique WA PGA Championship in Western Australia. The New South Welshman moves to nine under at the half way mark of the tournament, two shots clear of South Australian Jason Norris, whose outstanding round of 66 sees him in second place on the leaderboard. After a 71 on day one, Norris was superb picking up a further six shots after a stunning second round. Victoria&aposs Cameron Percy is in outright fourth after a 69 to go with his two-under first round of 70. But the day&aposs biggest mover was undoubtedly local player Andrew Gott who pulled off a spectacular form reversal after his first round 75 to card a seven under 65 and move into a share of fourth at four under. Queenslander Ryan Haller is also on four under the card after 36 holes following a one-under round of 71 on day two.
