Try Swing Fit during Australian Open

Swing Fit, the fun, healthy and social way for women to get started in golf, has come to Sydney and can be enjoyed alongside the world’s best golfers!

Come-and-try sessions are being held during the upcoming Emirates Australian Open and are open to any female who is new to golf and wants to give it a go.

“You’ll learn the basics of the golf swing and how to putt, whilst also getting your whole body moving through conditioning and movement exercises including yoga and Pilates,” Sydney Swing Fit deliverer Andrea McGann explained.
Swing Fit has been developed based on what women want; that is a golfing experience that focuses on health and fitness in a social environment. And better yet, rather than slogging away in a claustrophobic gym, you are outside in a beautiful and natural environment.
Free Swing Fit sessions will be held on the Wednesday to Sunday of Australian Open week (Nov 16 – 20) at Woollahra Golf Club – next door to the Open tournament. Registration includes a free ticket to the Open, so participants can enjoy watching the world’s best golfers after their session!
“You don’t need any golf knowledge or equipment, simply turn up in your active wear and have a go! suggests Serrin Cooper, Golf Australia’s female participation co-ordinator. “This is such a fantastic, free way to try a sport that you might just love for the rest of your life”.
