Tschudin tops Australasian Q-School

Victorian Andrew Tschudin heads the list of 35 players who have graduated from 2008 PGA Tour of Australasia Qualifying School after the final round was completed in Victoria on Friday. 36-year-old Tschudin, a member of the Australasian Tour since turning professional in 1998, finished on eight under par after four rounds at the Peninsula Country Golf Club Course in Frankston. Michael McGrath finshed two shots behind, with four players including Richie Gallichan, Michael Moore, Jason King and Ed Stedman all a further shot back in fourth place on four under. Of the 35 players, six are amateurs including Tom Prowse, James Carr, Grant Scott, Leighton Lyle, Nick Cullen and Damien Jordan. The top 35 players awarded Tour cards for 2009, with 36th 60th places offered provisional cards and membership of the PGA of Australia.
