U.S Women�s Amateur: Six Australians progress to match play

It was another great day for Australia at the Country Club in Cleveland with seven progressing to Wednesday&aposs match play first round. Of the 64 players to progress, Minjee Lee finished in a tie for 7th (3-under) following rounds rounds of 72 and 69 while Breanna Elliott was two strokes further back tied for 14th with a second round 72 to go with her 71 on Monday. Su-Hyun Oh (Even, T17), Ashlee Dewhurst (Even, T17), Whiney Hillier (2-over, T32) and Tilly Poulsen (4-over, T44) all moved through comfortably. Of Golf Australia s seven women contingent, only Grace Lennon failed to qualify. She finished in a tie for 89th. The first round of Match Play commences at 9.30am tomorrow local time.
