UPDATE 2016 Women’s Bronze Medallion

Thank you to all those who braved the elements at the Bronze Medallion event on Friday 2 September at Roseville and Concord Golf Clubs.

We have received a few queries about the day and would like to make the following points:

• We have people that have committed their day to our events and have travelled distances to attend.  We always try to complete our events on the day, while the golf courses are still fit for play;
• We are aware that some people do not enjoy playing in the rain and have no issue should players withdraw because the conditions are unpleasant, providing due consideration is given to playing partners;
• On the day, once play was abandoned at Roseville, we continued play at Concord because there were daily prizes on offer and one possible scenario still available was to utilise scores from Concord and reschedule play at Roseville

Given the number of players that withdrew at Concord and the difficulty in rescheduling, it has been determined that the event will be abandoned for 2016.

Days like this are difficult for all, including the event administrators. We appreciate the attitude exhibited by the majority of players in the circumstances and look forward to seeing you at future Golf NSW events.
