The President, Board and Staff of Golf Victoria express their deepest sympathy at the passing of Mr. Bruce Bedwell.
A long-time member and Past Captain of the Yarra Yarra Golf Club, Bruce will be fondly remembered as a person of commitment and passion for the game of golf, particularly in fostering relations between club officials within the Melbourne golf community.
Bruce initiated the Past Captains and Presidents Day in 1985 to enable former officer bearers of Melbourne Member Clubs to annually gather for a round. He was recognised for this role by being awarded the first Life Membership of the group.
Golf Victoria’s sincere condolences are extended to wife Norma and the Bedwell family at this time. Bruce was a wonderful person who loved the game of golf and will be sadly missed.
The Chapel Funeral for Bruce Bedwell will be held at Tobin Brothers Chapel, 147 Park Road, Cheltenham on Tuesday 18 September at 2.00p.m.
