Golf Australia and Golf Queensland would like to extend their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Des Foster MBE who passed away on Saturday 12 October aged 86 in Warwick, Queensland. Mr Foster was President of the Australian Golf Union in 1990 and served as an AGU Executive Committee Member from 1987 to 1993. He was Queensland Golf Union President from 1987 to 1993 and made a life member of the Queensland Golf Union (now Golf Queensland) in 1993. For many years Mr Foster was the Delegate to the QGU of the Darling Downs & South West Queensland Golf Association. There will be a memorial service held this Thursday 17 October at the Uniting Church in Warwick. Mr Foster is survived by his wife of 57 years, Daree.
