Vale – Malcolm Hall (1930-2019)

Golf Australia wishes to acknowledge the passing last Friday of the South Australian Golf Association’s secretary of 22 years, Malcolm Hall.

Hall served as the association’s secretary from 1968 until 1990, having begun his involvement with it in 1964 as a club delegate representing Blackwood Golf Club.

Hall initially operated from the association’s rental premises at the Memorial Drive tennis facility until it purchased its own property at Torrensville.  It was also at this time that he was made executive director.

Hall was a member at Kooyonga Golf Club where he played regularly until his passing, aged 88.  He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Lib), sons David and Michael and wives, plus six grandchildren.

(Editor’s note: In 2008, the South Australian Golf Association merged with Women’s Golf South Australia to form Golf South Australia.)
