FSC&TGA Life Member Pam Pickett 1943-2015
It is with regret that we advise the passing of Pam Pickett,one of Far South Coast & Tablelands Golf Association (FSC&TGA) Life Members. Pam was awarded Life Membership of the FSC&TGA, in 2000 and has served their region promoting our wonderful game for many decades.
Pam joined the Moruya Golf Club in 1968 and quickly became involved in everything golf, and whatever the club had to offer. It wasn’t long before Pam joined the Committee and over her long association with the Club undertook every position on the Ladies Committee. She also became a member of the Board, appointed as Greens Director. Pam was also an accredited Course Rater appointed by WGNSW.
Over the years Pam held a number of Executive positions with the FSC&TGA. Following Pam’s appointment as Handicap Manager in 1987, she then became Vice President in 1989 and President in 1990.
Pam was the FSC&TGA Counsellor from 1994 until awarded Life Membership in 2000, the same year that she was appointed a Life Member of the Moruya Golf Club.
Pam’s passing came as a great shock across the FSC&TGA and golfing circles. Pam’s interest and concern for everyone she came in contact with was immeasurable and she will be very sorely missed.
