Trevor Wood, member of The Lakes Golf Club and a prominent amateur golfer in the 1960’s-70’s passed away on Saturday, 11 March surrounded by his loving family. He was the NSW Champion of Champions in 1969 and represented NSW in the Interstate Teams Matches in 1971.
Trevor, who was in his mid-80s, lived right next door to The Lakes Golf Club and actively played at the club until recently.
He was also well-known in the Men’s Senior Championship circle having won the NSW title in 1989, 1990, 1992 and 1993 and the national championship in 1990, 1993, and 1995.
Trevor is survived by his wife Lorraine, sons Craig and Byron, daughter-in-laws Carita and Michelle, and five grandchildren.
