Verizon suspended

The Verizon Open&aposs final round has been suspended until Monday after high winds at the Harbour Town course blew down a tree branch and injured an official. Aside from the official&aposs injury, tournament officials were forced to announce the suspension on Sunday afternoon as balls would not stop rolling on the fairways. The morning resumption will see the tournament played on Monday for the first time since 2001. Tournament official William Millon was not hurt by the falling branch after being hit between the ninth and 10th holes and was released by medical staff shortly afterwards. Jerry Kelly tops the leaderboard after round three at 13 under while Australian&aposs Vaughan Taylor and Stephen Leaney are still in contention a further four strokes back.
