Victoria's largest participation event is set to return for the 27th installment from January – March 2019.
The Vic Four-Ball championship is open to all golfers who are members of affiliated clubs and have a handicap. The championship involves men’s, women’s and mixed sections and is played in two parts: qualifying events and a State final.
Each qualifier includes a catered lunch, a gift pack for all players, prizes and 18 holes of golf.
Qualifying events in 2019 will be categorised as Metropolitan (M) qualifiers and Regional (R) qualifiers.
Pairs will again be able to enter as many Regional qualifiers as they wish with the field decided by first in first best process. Entries will close for Regional (R) qualifying rounds 10 days prior or when a capacity field has been reached.
For Metropolitan qualifiers, pairs will nominate their preferred venues through the online registration process and Golf Australia will endeavour to allocate pairs according to preference as closely as possible.
Venue allocations have now been finalised for the metropolitan qualifying rounds. Any venues with vacancies will be re-opened for entry on Wednesday December 5. Please read carefully as to whether your nominated section (ie men's section) still has available positions. Please note that 30 men's, 10 women's and 10 mixed pairs will be reserved at all qualifying venues until 10 days prior to each event.
New to the calendar is a Vic Open themed qualifier at 13th Beach Golf Links on March 5. Walk the fairways like the pros on the same layout as the Vic Open on the Beach Course.
