Victorian Four-Ball finalists decided

The 2018 Victorian Four-Ball finalists have been decided after Spring Valley hosted the last of the 22 qualifying rounds played across the state throughout the start of 2018. 100 teams across three sections will battle it out at Sorrento and The National this coming Monday and Tuesday to be crowned the Victorian Four-Ball champions.

The pristine Spring Valley Golf club hosted a full field of 108 players on Friday 9 March. Jason Burns (Patterson River) and Leroy Crofts (Rossdale) were victorious in the Men’s section with their score of 44 points prevailing on a countback over Spring Valley locals Leszek Kunc and Stan Koczwara. In third place was another Spring Valley pairing, Noel Mannix and Barry Gust, who were one shot back with 43. 

The Women’s section was won by Susan Park (Huntingdale) and Linda Lee (Riversdale) with a great score of 42 points ,by 1 over Karen White (Sandringham) and Nuria Arthur (Spring Valley). Third place went to the Commonwealth pairing of Noela Read and Gay Paterson with 39 points. In the Mixed section, Bill and Susan Parsons from Mansfield Golf Club made the trip worthwhile as they saluted by 1 with their score of 42 points taking out top prize. Coming in at second position was Ming Yan (Spring Valley) and Jane Zhang (Rosanna) on 41, followed by Ruriko (Huntingdale) and Hiro (Penisula-Kingswood) Nakayama in third position with their score of 40.
