The Victorian Golf Association (VGA) and Women’s Golf Victoria (WGV) have joined with the Indigenous Golf Association of Victoria (IGAV) to increase participation and foster ongoing involvement of Indigenous Victorians in the sport of golf. The programs details are: Two specific women’s/girls programs which will be conducted in Sale and Melbourne North. Each program will involve a series of three coaching sessions conducted by a teaching professional to introduce women to the game of golf and teaching the basics of the game followed by two social golf days . An 8-week junior golf development program focusing on providing opportunities for juniors to experience the game via delivery of Go-Go Golf and related activities by accredited PGA Golf Professionals. Further opportunities exist for participating children to progress through existing VGA and WGV junior golf development events, activities and programs The program will run in 5 regions – Melbourne (West and North), Healesville, Morwell and Glenroy. Three programs for men in Halls Gap, Melbourne North and Geelong.
