The 2019 Victorian Pennant competition commenced on Sunday with 113 men’s, women’s and colts teams competing across ten courses throughout Melbourne.
Division 1 defending champions all started well, with Commonwealth women defeating The National, 6-1, Metropolitan men defeating Southern, 6-1, and Commonwealth Colts squaring with Yarra Yarra.
Round 2 will be played this coming Sunday, with the first round of Friday’s Women’s Pennant commencing on Friday.
Following the seven round matches, teams will contest finals on Sunday 28 April, with the Friday Women’s Final on Friday 26 April.
