Victoria has already had some early success at the Pacific School Games with Jeneath Wong taking out the girls individual title with a fantastic two round total of +4. Jeneath really impressed the scorers when she signed for a round of 70 (-4) in the afternoon to leap frog into the lead. This is Jeneath's first year in the U17 Team after competing last year as part of the U12 Team, making this result even more astonishing for someone so young.
In other results Linley Ooi finished in outright 3rd position in the U17 individual girls event, and Peter Vassiliadis our best placed U17 individual boy in 9th position. The U12 girls team also placed well finishing equal second in the team ambrose event.
Good luck to all the other Victorian players in both the U12 & U17 teams as they head into the match play rounds. To view and follow the results please check the Pacific School Games website – CLICK HERE
