Congratulations to this month’s deserving winner of the MyGolf centre of the month award.
Virginia Golf Club, located just north of Brisbane, joined MyGolf 12 months ago, and has excelled this term thanks to MyGolf co-ordinator, Brett Maxwell.
‘I love seeing the kids improve and having fun, it makes me so happy that they can get this much enjoyment from the sport,’ Brett said.
With 27 participants registering for Term 4 and running three clinics a week, Brett explains he couldn’t run the program without the support of those around him at the club.
‘The parents help out 100%, as well as Corey and Shane who help me with delivering the program, especially on weekends,’ Brett said.
The kids are even beginning to compete, with a squad of ten participants representing Virginia in a Pee Wee Pennants team tournament, winning the Brisbane division!
The Virginia junior program caters for a variety of age groups, with two participants under six that love to just have a hit.
When it comes to the older participants, the program provides a variety of golfing lessons as well as the ability to play four to six holes, with the older kids playing nine holes at the club.
Congratulations once again to Virginia Golf Club on their efforts within the MyGolf program and their ability to spread the enjoyment of golf throughout the community.
Keep up the great work!
