Even Par Pilot
Club recruitment for the Even Par Pilot program is very promising. Clubs that have expressed interest and/or committed to participating include the following:
- Geelong region: 10 clubs + 1 district
- Melbourne: West/North West: 5 clubs
- Melbourne: East/South East: 7 clubs
Dr. Sue Dyson has been engaged as the project evaluator, whilst regional sports assembly, Leisure Networks, has confirmed its support of the program in Geelong.
Teen Golf Pilot
Golf Australia engaged Kinlab to run two focus groups to explore the needs of adolescent girls and their parents in playing in teenage focussed beginner golf competition. The Teen Golf working party is currently finalising a competition concept using this research as well as learnings from MyGolf Junior League & Golf Lite.
Vision 2025 Roadshow
The Vision 2025 Roadshow started in January. Three sessions have been delivered across the following regions:
- Melbourne – Western metro: January 15 (16 attendees: 7 clubs)
- Hobart: January 21 (32 attendees: 14 clubs)
- Melbourne – Eastern metro: January 21 (24 attendees:8 clubs)
The presentation will includes the following components:
- Vision 2025 summary, including rationale, intention and key deliverables;
- AHRC EO Guidelines update
- Suggested club based Vision 2025 processes
- Q&A with GA head office and regional staff
Roadshow dates are listed below, with NSW dates to coincide with Golf NSW’s state roadshow in August.
