Steffi Vogel and Jasper Stubbs have taken the lead in the Murray River Junior Masters after the second round at Tocumwal Golf Club. After shooting a more than respectable level par 72 yesterday, Stubbs took charge on the Captains course to sign for a superb five under-par 67 to leap-frog the round one leader in Mitch Crabbe. Crabbe is the only player to have shot two sub-par rounds and will be looking to continues that steady form when he tees it up beside Stubbs tomorrow morning.
In the girls section, Steffi Vogel was able to overtake the round one frontrunner for the lead – albeit just one shot over Kay Bannan. Vogel will feel at ease tomorrow morning as she tees it up on her home course of Cobram-Barooga while Bannan will be looking to apply the pressure early on in chase for the 2017 title.
