WA duo, Jose De Sousa and Kathryn Norris have started the 2016 season in fine style, by taking out the Golf SA Junior Masters at Royal Adelaide Golf Club.
De Sousa finished the tournament one-over with rounds of 74,72,71,72 (289), one stroke ahead of Conrad Ciupek (Victoria GC).
Joel Stahlhut (Goondiwindi GC) finished third at three-over while the best placed South Australian was Lachlan Barker (Glenelg GC) one shot further back.
The Western Australian Team of De Sousa and Jordan Doull, who finished 11th individually, combined for a gross total of 593 to win the Teams Event.
In the Girl's Masters, held for only the fifth time, Norris from the Mandurah GC claimed the championship finishing five-over with rounds of 77,72,72,76 (297), three strokes ahead of Ho Yu An (Miramar GC, Taiwan). South Australian Ella Adams finished 10-over, tied for third with rounds of 74, 77, 76, 75 (302).
The South Australian Team of Adams and Cassidy Evreniadis, who finished 6th individually, combined for a gross total of 606 to win the Teams Event.
