Tim Walker has extended his lead at the 2019 Westcoast Open Amateur whilst Diana Robinson has jumped into first position in the women’s event.

Walker has been a class above the field through the first three rounds of the tournament, firing rounds of 75 and 72 at Warrnambool GC today to stretch his lead to 14 shots.

Joining Walker in the final group tomorrow and tied for second place are Matthew Wood and Connor McDade.

McDade made a significant charge up the leaderboard in the afternoon with an impressive 75 in the gusty winds.

In the women’s championship, Diana Robinson overcame a six-shot deficit to fellow Warrnambool GC member Lauren Higgins at the 18-hole mark and now leads by two heading into the final round tomorrow.

The final round will commence at 8:00am at Port Fairy Golf Links tomorrow morning.
