WATC Final Day- Australia miss top 10

FINAL DAY REPORT Australia had to settle for a share of 15th position at the Women’s World Amateur Team Championships at The Grange in Adelaide. Local favourite and Grange member Stephanie Na put together a solid opening nine holes on the West Course, dropping one shot at the par-4 third hole. Her work on the back half of the track was equally impressive but with home in sight, Na found trouble again on the final two holes, dropping three shots and finishing at 4-over for the day. Clare Choi had her best round of the championship, finishing with an even par 72. Opening with bogeys on the second and third holes, Choi recovered well to snatch a shot back at the 7th and a further two shots when she birdied the 10th and 11th. Another birdie on the 14th offset too late bogeys and Choi ended her final round level with the card. Julia Boland again found things tough on the West course and three bogeys in her opening five holes made it hard to claw things level despite a birdie on the 8th. A better back nine with just two dropped shots left her with a 5-over 77 for the day. FINAL SCOREBOARD: T15 Australia +15 (595) Stephanie Na 73-73-75-76 (+7) Clare Choi 76-76-74-72 (+8) Julia Boland 78-77-80-77 (+22)
