Watt finishes third at Porter Cup

LEADERBOARD – FINAL SCORES Australia&aposs Brady Watt shot a 1-under par 69 to finish in a tie for third at 10-under par at the Porter Cup at Niagara Falls Country Club. Watt finished with rounds of 70-65-66-69 (-10) to be six strokes behind champion Taylor Pendrith. Callan O&aposReilly (NSW) finished in a tie for 29th after 2-over par 72. Jake McLeod (QLD) finished in a tie for 42nd while fellow Queenslander James Gibellini finished in a tie for 55th. It’s been 28 years since a Canadian player has sipped champagne from the Porter Cup. I played pretty solid all day, said Pendrith, a senior at Kent State whose third round 63 was just one shot off his career low round. I was just trying to make as many birdies as possible and take one shot at a time. I knew birdies were out there.
