Web.com Tour placing for Goggin

Kevin Foley won the Web.com Tour&aposs Panama Claro Championship on Sunday, as Mathew Goggin missed out by a shot in the 2013 season opener. Goggin, who won the same event in 2011, led by two shots going into the last round at the Panama Golf Club. But he could only manage an even-par 70 for his final 18 holes to finish seven-under overall, following a round which included a bogey, double-bogey and triple-bogey. Foley, meanwhile, sunk a crucial birdie at the last hole to card a three-under 67, enough for the American to claim the US$108,000 prize for first place. The rest of the leaderboard was dominated by Americans in Panama City, with Scott Brown outright third at six-under courtesy of his final-round 66. United States trio Scott Dunlap, Len Mattiace and Roland Thatcher were two shots further back in a share of fourth place. Australians Nick Flanagan and Gavin Coles performed strongly, finishing tied ninth and tied 13th respectively. James Nitties and Aaron Price (both tied 28th), Adam Crawford (tied 48th) and Ashley Hall (tied 52nd) were the other Australians in the field to make the halfway cut.
