Webb eight back in Thailand

American Stacy Lewis holds a three-shot lead at the midway point of the Honda LPGA Thailand after a round of three under on Friday, while Australian Karrie Webb is eight shots off the pace. The overnight leader in Chonburi maintained her buffer atop the leaderboard from Thailand&aposs Ariya Jutanugarn (nine under). Lewis, 28, shot five birdies and two bogeys to stay in control at the Siam Country Club, as she aims for her sixth LPGA Tour title. South Korea&aposs Ryu So Yeon, Spain&aposs Beatriz Recari and Scotland&aposs Catriona Matthew are tied for third on eight under, with Ryu and Recari scoring back-to-back four-under 68s and Matthew going three under for her second round. Pak Se Ri, of South Korea, also shot four under to be tied for sixth with American Lizette Salas on seven under overall, while Pak&aposs compatriot Park Inbee is outright eighth a shot back. Rounding out the top-10 are some household names in women&aposs golf, with Jessica Korda, Lydia Ko, Webb and Ai Miyazato all level on four under. Webb looked on track for a great round with two birdies and an eagle in her first 10 holes, but three bogeys in her final seven holes saw her sign for a 71. Korda was the best of that quartet on Friday, going five under to bounce back from her one-over opening round. Two-time defending champion Yani Tseng also improved her form with a four-under 68, but the world number one is still well off the pace in a tie for 25th.
