Veteran Karrie Webb is just two shots from the lead after the opening round of the rich HSBC Women's Champions in Singapore today.
Webb is working her way into form after finishing just outside the top 10 in Thailand last weekend.
The Australian carded an opening 68, four-under par, including five birdies and one bogey at the Sentosa Golf Club.
The joint leaders are both former World No. 1s, Yani Tseng and Inbee Park at 66. Current world No. 1 Lydia Ko of New Zealand began with a 68.
The other Australian in the field, rookie Minjee Lee, also began nicely with a 70 to be tied-14th.
Webb has a strong history at Sentosa, having won the tournament in 2011 and finished third behind Paula Creamer last year.
