Webb just four off the pace

Ai Miyazato shot an eight-under 64 as she closed the second round with a one-stroke lead at the CME Group Titleholders, while Australian Karrie Webb moved into contention. Webb, a seven-time major winner on the LGPA Tour, hit a three-under 69 to end Friday at six under overall, four strokes behind Miyazato. The 37-year-old started the day at three under and she replicated her opening round courtesy of two birdies and a solitary eagle to go with a bogey. Miyazato registered nine birdies, which included five on the front nine, throughout an almost flawless round to reach 10 under overall at the halfway point. The Japanese star is well on track for her third title of 2012 after already claiming the LGPA Lotte and Walmart NW Arkansas Championships this season. “I&aposve been dealing with my putting since last month and it just didn&apost go in,” Miyazato said. “But I just say to myself, &aposjust be patient and it&aposs going to go in some day&apos.” The 27-year-old is a shot ahead of South Korean Choi Na-Yeon, who carded a four-under 68 at the TwinEagles Golf Club. American Brittany Lincicome remains two shots off the pace after a three-under 69 round. As a result, the 2009 Kraft Nabisco Championship winner is third alongside Frenchwoman Karine Icher (70), overnight leaders Suzann Pettersen of Norway (71) and South Korea&aposs Yoo Sun-Young (71). Sandra Gal is a further stroke down the leaderboard following her four-under 68. The German recovered from an early bogey to sink four birdies and an eagle as she ended the day in a share of seventh. Gal joins Webb and South Korean Ryu So-Yeon (72) at six under. Meanwhile, Australian Lindsey Wright slipped out of the top 10. Wright was in a tie for fourth overnight but a two-over 74 saw her fall to 18th alongside five others. Katherine Hull, tied for 24th, is the next best performing Australian following her even-par 72 display, while Sarah Jane Smith (77) is well off the pace at six over.
