Karrie Webb and Minjee Lee are the form Australian players leading into the Women's British Open at Kingsbarns links near St Andrews tomorrow.
Webb was runner-up in the Ladies Scottish Open last weekend, victim of a dreadful bounce into a pot bunker at the 71st hole when she had control of the tournament.
While it was her first LPGA Tour top-10 finish this season, the 42-year-old is an old hand at links golf, having won the British three times — in 1995, 1997 and 2002.
Twenty-one-year-old Lee, the world No. 17, finished inside the top 10 at Dundonald last week as well and is having a consistent season, despite not winning a tournament.
Perth's Lee has had seven top-10 finishes this season and is approaching $US 700,000 in earnings. The former champion amateur was tied-ninth at the Open two years ago.
Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn is the defending champion this week.
There are seven Australians in the field.
