Welcome to Golf NT

The Northern Territory (NT) is about the size of France, Italy and Spain combined. It is the third largest area in Australia and covers some 1.35 million square km. So it's not surprising the Territory is blessed with an abundance of natural environments. The NT is a very cosmopolitan place. As well as some of Australia's most vibrant Indigenous culture, our population is comprised of people from more than 100 nationalities.

The NT is world famous for its heritage listed Kakadu National Park, Uluru (Ayers Rock) and its birdlife diversity (about 400 species). Kakadu National Park covers nearly 20 000 square km and features a matchless array of flora and fauna as well as a rich Aboriginal culture and heritage.

Sport plays a big part of the Territory lifestyle, and golf is a sport for life. Once introduced to our sport people are making a step which will inevitably enhance their health prospects and social skills for the rest of their lives. Golf can be played all year-round in the NT and it’s not hard to find a friendly local for some advice on which golf course to play. With some of the most unique golf courses in Australia, the NT offers 13 courses of varying degree. In the cities of Darwin and Palmerston, the major regional centres of Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs and the towns of Jabiru, Nhulunbuy, Alyangula and Humpty Doo, there's always somewhere to have a hit.
