The 2019 ISPS Handa Vic Open is set to be the biggest yet with 312 players from four sanctioning tours competing for a combined prize pool of $3 million.
This year’s championship will see the European Tour and LPGA join forces with the ISPS Handa PGA Tour of Australasia and the ALPG to bring world-class male and female players together for a super week of golf.
International fan favourites set to make their Vic Open debuts include Andrew “Beef” Johnston, Nicholas Colsaerts, Paula Creamer and Brittany Lang.
Recent European Tour card holders Lucas Herbert, Jake McLeod and 2017 champion Dimi Papadatos will lead the Australian men’s contingent alongside stalwart Geoff Ogilvy.
Aussie golf fanatics will have plenty to cheer about with the top 10 Australian women, spearheaded by World No.6 and defending champion Minjee Lee, set to tee it up at 13th Beach this week.
Simon Hawkes and Lee will return to the Bellarine Peninsula alongside all eight past champions from the last five years including Mel Reid, Georgia Hall and Richard Green.
Australia’s top two male amateurs David Micheluzzi and Blake Windred will be joined by Victorian Junior Open winner Min A Yoon and last month’s #AusAm champions Conor Purcell and Yae Eun Hong.
Final qualifying is currently under way across Curlewis, Portarlington, Sanctuary Lakes, and Barwon Heads for the final six men’s and three women’s places in the championship field.

Entry is free to all Victorian golf club members, but other tickets are on sale through oTix and remain some of the best value in elite sport at $10 per day, $30 for a season pass. Children under 18 and those with a Seniors Card are free. Get tickets here.
