The Western Australians have so far handled the tricky Open Course layout at Moonah Links best after round one of the Victorian Boys & Girls Championships was completed today.

In the girls’ championship, Yeah-Jin Lee (Royal Perth) fired a three-over-par 75, highlighted by birdies on holes 8 and 15.

Trailing Lee by one on 76 are Belinda Ji (Concord) and Trinity Francis (Huntingdale).

In the boys’ age divisions, Jye Halls and Thomas Ngo (Medway) lead the under 16s and under 14s respectively.

The girls’ age divisions see Trinity Francis leading the under 16s, whilst Molly McLean (The National) holds a commanding 11-shot lead in the under 14s after returning an impressive first round of 80.
