Western Tri Series Junior Classic

Cameron John from Waverley and Konomi Matsumoto from Victoria have won the inaugural Western Tri Series Junior Masters.
Matsumoto had rounds of 81,82,78 for a total of 241 who finished 5 strokes clear of Kallista Do of Huntingdale Golf Club.

Cameron John had rounds of 70,74,72 for a total of 216 which was 12 strokes clear of nearest rival Riley Brennan of Sanctuary Lakes who finished on 228.
 
For the first year of the event a field of 50 players took part in the 54 Hole challenge and will hopefully come back again next year to help grow the event.

Well done to all competitiors and the three golf clubs who came up with the initiative to run this event in Melbourne’s West.

This 54 Hole Tournament was hosted at Kooringal, Sunshine and Sanctuary Lakes Golf Clubs from Tuesday 22nd January – Thursday 24th January.

Scores from the tournament will be used for the Geoff Ogilvy and Future Champions Trophies also as well as the RANDA World Amateur Golf Rankings.

$6 from every entry fee will be donated to Challenge to help continue their ongoing support of kids with cancer.
