69 players coming from Mossman in the north to the Gold Coast, to take part in this year’s Wide Bay Junior Open and Closed Golf Championship. With threatening skies and strong northerly winds all the juniors competing had a great day, even though the last three groups were well and truly drenched when the heavens opened.
We had two, first time Wide Bay Champions this year with Ben Duncombe and Kate McFarlane taking out the titles. Kate also has the honour of holding both the Junior's and Ladies' Wide Bay Championships in the one year.
