Deaf Golf Australia along with Western Australia Deaf Golf Association were the proud hosts of the 21st Australian Deaf Golf Championships that was held at Meadow Springs Golf and Country Club, Mandurah, Western Australia on 25 to 27 October, 2013. A great week was had by all. We had 36 participants in the Golf Tournament including 31 Men and 5 Ladies, from 5 states. Well done everyone on making the effort to attend these Championships. Absolutely beautiful and warm weather greeted those golfers, and Meadow Springs proved to be a tough but fair golf course. Notable results was the close contest between Jack McLeod (NSW) and Jack Besley (Vic) for the Australians Mens Championships. Only 1 shot separated the pair after 54 holes. Congratulations to both for excellent sportsmanship and providing a great contest for many to watch. Congratulations to Therese Pierce (Winner of Ladies Championships) and Wayne Parsons (Winner of Seniors Championships). Simon Hogan (NSW) displayed excellent golf to win the Mens Nett Championships with a 76 gross (61 nett) in the final round.
