The 2018 Ian Baker – Finch (IBF) Junior Classic, hosted by Twin Waters Golf Club, treated players this year to perfect conditions showcasing the skills of Cassie Porter (Peregian Golf Club) and Tyler Duncan Redcliffe).
Cassie’s fantastic performance earned her an invitation from the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) into their Canberra Schweppes Classic in February 2019 (date TBC) along with a $1000 scholarship to be used for travel and accommodation to an event of her choosing, that was proudly sponsored by Ian Baker – Finch, along with other awards that were very generously sponsored by Callaway Australia.
The Tour has also been notified by Twin Waters management that Cassie’s 68 (-4) at the IBF Classic has equalled the official ladies course record, that was held by Krystal Fanning’ meaning Cassie now holds or jointly holds official ladies Course Records at both Twin Waters and Pelican Waters Golf Clubs!
Not to be outdone “after taking out the Zone & District Open and Closed Championship just a week earlier” Tyler continued his good form by recording an outstanding two under par 70 to claim the Boys IBF Junior Championship Title for 2018.
Like Cassie, Tyler received a $1000 scholarship to be used for travel and accommodation to an event of his choosing from Ian, and a paid exemption into the final qualifying round of the Queensland Open in 2019, along with many other prizes.
Both Tyler and Cassie qualified for The Invincibles 2019 IGA Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championship, that will be hosted by Twin Waters, Pelican Waters, Peregian Golf Course, and Noosa Springs Golf Resorts during the last week of the September School holidays (Sunday September 29 to Wednesday the 2rd of October – TBC).
Jordan Rooke (Wantima – p3 above) won The Invincibles Sunshine Coast Course Cup with his nett 69. Because Jordan has already qualified, Cooper Clarke (Noosa – p4) has qualified for The Invincibles Sunshine Coast Gold Cup of Cups Championship that will be hosted by Pelican Waters Golf Club, Sunday November 25, followed immediately by The Invincibles Annual Junior Presentation Dinner!

Division 1: boy’s nett winner: went to Jordan Rooke (Wantima) with an excellent 69.
Boys: division 2 Gross winner: was won by Yutaro Matsushita with 83.
Boy’s nett winner: was Daniel Abey with 73 on c/b.
Girl’s nett winner: went to Nina Bohan with 66.

The team at Maroochy River Golf Club have taken an unassailable lead in The Invincibles Inter – Club Team Shield after Keperra Golf Club (222) earned the four points for winning, Emerald Lakes (223) earned two points for second, with Noosa (225) taking out one point for third.
