Winners crowned on the Monrington Peninsula

The final round of the Mornington Peninsula Junior Open finished today down at Sorrento Golf Club this morning.

Keeley Marx comfortably took home the overall girl’s title by 21 strokes with scores of 72 and 74.

Tasmanian born Ryan Thomas enjoyed Sorrento Golf Club today shooting 68 to over take the over night leader to win the Boy’s Mornington Peninsula Junior Open.

Felix Lin backed up his net 57 with a net 66 at Sorrento Golf Club to take out the Overall net section.

Aaron Hosking did try his best to catch Lin having net 61 today but fell short by three.

Rupert Toomey stormed home taking out the under 14 gross section while Leo Li won the net title.

In the under 16 section Samuel Bakes won the gross with scores of 72 and 71.

Lin won the net section after having his breakthrough tournament.

Kingston Heath’s Angus O’Brien had a disappointing second round to not win the overall gross but took home the under 18 boys gross title.

Mornington Peninsula local Nathan Anderson won the under 18 boys net section on 144 on a countback

Overall winner Ryan Thomas took out the Under 21 boys title while Cody Cuthbert won the net section.

In the girls under 16 division winner was the overall girl’s winner Keeley Marx over Sara Hidayat.

While the net winner in the under 16 girls was Portia Hall on 148.

Under 21 girls gross winner was Hannah Mourant and Jade Brooks was the net winner.
