Women ready for Lake Macquarie battle

Leading amateur golfers from Australia, New Zealand and across Asia have descended on Belmont Golf Club for the Greater Building Society Women&aposs Lake Macquarie Amateur Championship which begins today. Headlining the field are Srixon Australian Amateur champion Justine Lee, Srixon Women&aposs Australian Stroke Play champion Julia Boland and Stacey Keating who recently captured both the Dunes Medal and Elvie Whitesides Women&aposs Tasmanian Stroke Play title. Lee finished as the leading amateur at the Women&aposs Australian Open and ANZ Ladies Masters before winning another four state amateur titles to cap off a fantastic 2009.
