Entries are open for the best and brightest ladies for the Australian Women’s Senior and Women’s Mid Amateur Championships which will be held at the stunning Ulverstone Golf Club in Tasmania. The events will mark the first time Ulverstone s course has been used for either championship and only the third time the Women&aposs Senior Amateur has been held in Tasmania in its 22 year history. The Women’s Senior Championship is 36-holes stroke qualifying followed by three rounds of match play running from October 27-31. The Women’s Senior will be held concurrently with the 54-holes stroke play Women’s Mid Amateur running from October 27-29. Last year s Senior Amateur was won by New South Wales Sylvia Donohoe at the spectacular Glenelg Golf Course in South Australia. The 2007 Women’s Mid Amateur was won by Julie Swanson.
