Woods unsure over fitness for Masters

Tiger Woods remains unsure whether he will recover from a back injury in time to play in the US Masters at Augusta next month.

Woods, who has donned the famous green jacket on four occasions in the past, has been troubled by back spasms and dropped out of the Honda Classic earlier this month because of the problem.

He also withdrew from the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week, raising fears that he may not be fit in time for the next major of the season, which starts on April 10.

At a press conference to announce a new title sponsor for his golf tournament on Monday, Woods was still unsure whether he would be able to compete.

"For Augusta, it's still actually a little too soon, to be honest with you," he said.

"That's kind of the frustrating thing about this.

"I've had a couple of weeks off and getting treatment and just working on trying to get ready for Augusta.

"As of right now, it's still too soon, which is, as I said, pretty frustrating."
