Work required by duo in tour card chase

Harrison Endycott and Travis Smyth will need to pull out a couple of career rounds if they are to progress to stage II of the 2018 European Tour School after battling through their third rounds at Frilford Heath in Oxfordshire overnight.

Smyth carded an even par 72 to finish at seven over and right on the three round cut mark, while Endycott could only manage a two over par 74 to sit at five over and in 53rd position.

Western Australia’s Brady Watt jumped 30 places with a solid three-under round of 69 to finish at even par and in 19th position.

The top 20 places after the conclusion of the four round qualifying stage will progress to next month’s second in Spain.
