Australian team of Hannah Green (WA), Jenny Lee (SA) and Karis Davidson (QLD) depart for the inaugural World Girls Championship in Toronto, Canada later this week.
The event sees fifteen invited countries including USA, Spain, Sweden, Korea and England pitted against one another in teams of three players aged 18 or under.
Played at Angus Glen Golf Club, Ontario the event provides a great opportunity for three of Australia’s next wave of young players to showcase their talents and gain experience on the big stage. Hannah Green has represented Australia at Tier 1 level before, playing the Queen Sirikit Cup this year in Malaysia but for Davidson and Lee it will be the first time representing Australia. Both Davidson and Lee are former Australian Amateur runner ups and will look to step up with Minjee Lee and Su Oh leaving the amateur ranks in 2014.
The event is 72 hole stroke play with the best two of three scores counting daily. Golf Australia Championships Manager, Emily Miller will accompany the team to Canada.
