Sophie Yip and Jordan Jung lead at the halfway mark at the 2019 Victorian Boys and Girls Championship.
Yip leads the girls section after firing two-under on her back nine to take a four-shot lead into the third round.
Sophie’s fellow NSW state team member Belinda Ji started off strong on her front nine but dropped a couple of shots to finish four behind Yip.
Overnight leader Jordan Jung (WA) takes a one shot lead into tomorrow after shooting a steady even par round.
Carter Mealing (WA) performed well to maintain his position in the leaderboard and give him a chance to chase Jung tomorrow.
Victorians Nathan Page (The National) and Jasper Stubbs (Huntingdale) sit two and three back respectively, with plenty of players still in the hunt for the title.
In the boys’ age divisions, Jye Halls (NSW) continues to lead the under 16s and Thomas Ngo (Huntingdale) remains the one to catch in the under 14s.
The girls' divisions see Sophie Yip (Concord) out in front in the under 16 girls while Molly Mclean (The National) extended her commanding lead in the under 14 section.
