Young Juniors Testing their Skills Around the Region

Juniors on the Move Program

Jack Newton Junior Golf has always provided the best opportunities for young golfers to make friends, have fun, become a leader, all while playing golf.

Juniors on the Move delivers the best introduction into the game with multiple events provided throughout NSW.  The Newcastle, Hunter and Central Coast program supports many juniors through their initial step in the development pathway, with numerous juniors going on to successful results in bigger events.

The program introduces juniors to basic understanding of the game and builds their confidence allowing each junior to progress into 18-hole competitions with little or no fear.

Each year the juniors develop their skills on modified golf courses throughout the region.  While they learn every day they have the opportunity to win prizes thanks to JNJG’s partnership with ParPlusGolf.  The New Zealand based company provides squad shirts and vouchers for each month’s winners and runners-up.

Junior’s on the Move numbers continue to grow but what is more amazing is the age of the juniors seem to be lowering.  With approximately 35 juniors in the program in Newcastle, Hunter and Central Coast the average age is now just nine years old.

This season the youngest ever “mover” four-year-old Harrison Preece was welcomed into the program.  Harrison is a perfect example of what juniors on the move offers.  Each month he arrives full of smiles, loves the game, and the chance to meet new friends.
