Jin-Young Yun and Jamie Smith both from The Grange Golf Club have taken out the first girls & boys Junior Open, the first of five Junior Summer events.
Players faced warm conditions throughout the competition with the first 18 holes at Blackwood Golf Club and final round at The Vines Golf Club of Reynella.
Yun, playing off a handicap of five, claimed the girls open with rounds of 78-77 (155), 14 strokes ahead of runner up Charley Jacobs (Ardrossan) who had rounds of 86 & 83 (169).
Caitlin Peirce (HCap 12) from The Vines GC claimed the net event with net scores of 75, 77 (152).
In the Boy’s Junior Open, Smith claimed the title after shooting 74 both rounds, for a combined total of 148, to win by one stroke ahead of Glenelg’s Brodie Whitbread 77 & 72 (149).
Jack Korotcoff (Kooyonga) with a net total of 141 won the net aggregate event on a countback ahead of Mitchell Ward (Glenelg).
